Earth Science Field Trip to Minnewaska State Park, Sargent Elementary School 4th Grade

As part of the 4th grade science curriculum, students have been learning about concepts such as the water cycle, erosion, and changing landscapes in New York State. With this grant funding, we will be able to take our 4th graders to Minnewaska State Park where they will be given a customized tour with a park ranger to see evidence of these concepts in the landscape and at the park’s museum. When we return to class, we will examine samples from our visit using microscopes and students will record their observations using multimedia tools.
